Don't Give Up

Point to ponder on: No sprint gets the prize for a race he quits half way.

Ross Perot says, "Most people give up just when they 're about to achieve success. They quit on the one yard line. They give up at the last minute of the game, one foot from a winning touchdown."

The scripture above tells us that a consistent and continuous habit of doing good will surely be rewarded. This applies to every area of your life. However, the only enemy of progress here is 'discouragement' which makes people get fed up, and tries to quit because the expected reward or benefit is not forthcoming.

A young man borrowed a hundred thousand dollar from his uncle to explore an oil well and after several attempt on the exploration they could not find oil so he gave up and sold the oil well to someone else so that he could pay back his loan.

The person who bought the oil well consulted experts on oil exploration. They started the exploration of the oil well again and after drilling three more meters into the ground they found oil.

Can you imagine just three meters left to discover oil and the former owner of the oil well gave up and gave up his fortune.

Beloved, don't be discouraged in your pursuit, keep on keeping on whether in your business, career, academics,marriage, relationships, ministry and whatever you do. At a proper time you will reap a harvest if you dont give up. I pray the Lord will renew your strength to go through in Jesus name. DON'T GIVE UP.

Point to ponder on: Take note that you are influenced by people around you--you cannot run with chickens and soar with eagles.

Growing up, I associated with some older brothers in the church mass choir whose lifestyle and conversations were immoral. I was at the right place but in a wrong association. They had influence on my mind but thanks to God for His guidance, and also for my parents and my elder brother for being  godly role models for me. We become the company we keep.

Beloved, take note that the community that surrounds us has more influence on us to succeed or fail than the house we consider as a home to return to daily. The reason being that we spend more time in this community than we do at home. Our home is more like a resting place and the next morning we continue the routine. Therefore, to get the best of our community is to get around people in our neighbourhood or a virtual community who are committed to excellence and moving in the same direction in line with their goals in order to develop a fulfilling and encouraging lifestyle.

Environment influences the result we produce. We will develop the lifestyle of a winner simply by associating with those who are what we want to become.

Point to ponder on: God's intervention puts an end to stagnation and leads the way to the other side full of bounty.

Director James Cameron while writing 'The Terminator' was said to be barely making ends meet and his car was his apartment at the time. However, his major concern at the time was to direct his screenplay despite his limited experience. Money was not his concern. When he pitched "The Terminator" at meetings, the production companies liked the script but didn't like the idea of him being in charge. But he persevered and partnered with producer Gale Anne Hurd, who bought rights to the screenplay for $1 and named Cameron the director. The film went on to make $ 77 million worldwide. Beloved, every downward situation is not a permanent one. You can change level and move to the other side of the quadrant. You can navigate to the prestigious lane of abundance from lack. You can experience victory instead of failure. But your major concern now is key to your shift to the next level. What are you doing with your life now? If you continue in that thing you are doing in the next five years where do you see yourself. Focus on what you want and not what you are suffering or enduring. The reason for enduring the process is for you to actualise the success. God will never allow you to toil in vain as long as you are doing what is legitimate. He will bless your work and make your dream a reality and that which you could see with your mind you will move to that beautiful side of life and celebrate in Jesus name. Persevere as you go through and partner with the Holy Spirit with your mind on your vision despite the limited resources and whatever could be your challenge. I see you moving to the other side of fulfilment in Jesus name.

How To Live In This Present World

Matthew 10:16b "Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves." kjvlite

Point to ponder on: There is a principle to get a thing done rightly in order to get the right result in this life, find out.

You and I are likened as sheep in the midst of wolves in this world. If we are going to operate differently, we must operate with the principle handed unto us by the master of the universe. First, we must identify the attributes of a sheep in perspective since we live in the midst of wolves and fellow sheep. Sheep is soft-hearted, upright, elegant. Sheep is a meek animal. They are usually very quiet and gentle, holding themselves aloof from the world. In a herd, all the sheep tend to listen to their leaders and show esteem to them. Because of the obedient character, sheep are among the most popular animals beloved by mankind. These personality traits are expected in us who live among wolves in this world. However, if we are going to attain our highest goal as Christ representatives in this world we must follow the principle of 'be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves', which I will break down as follows:
1.be discreet in our plans: not likely to be seen or noticed by many people as we carry on with our plans until it is accomplished.
2. clever as we progress to execution: being intelligent and able to learn things quickly as we progress to attain our goals.
3. harmless to people in our dealings.
The principle given by Master Jesus when applied will make us master situations and attain our goals unhindered. Remember, sheep tend to listen to their leaders and our great shepherd is Jesus and to listen to Him is to follow His principle of operation in the midst of wolves to attain our highest goal.

They Will Beg At Your Feet

1 Samuel 24:19-21 "For who would find his enemy and then send him away safely? May the LORD repay you for what you have done for me today. Now I know for certain that you will be king, and that the kingdom will be established under your authority. Now swear to me by the LORD that you will never eliminate my descendants after me, and that you won’t erase my name from my father’s family.” ISV

Point to ponder on: When God releases your enemies into your hand He has made you a champion without fighting a battle.

Beloved, which one do you prefer? To see your haters beg at your feet and also beg for the safety of their descendants or for them to be destroyed. Well, It all depends on the trouble they have caused you. But whatever the case may be, the LORD will disarm all haters in your life and make them beg for their lives at your feet in Jesus name. The LORD will put them at your mercy in Jesus name. The kindness of the LORD will influence your judgement towards them for a change of heart and they will surrender that indeed your God is the Almighty in Jesus name. When God has not allowed those who tried hard to destroy us to succeed over our lives, He has already proven to them that we are above them and they will fear us the more as one that is untouchable. Therefore, when we activate and experience a victorious life like this, all we have to do is to lead a life full of praise and let God as usual fight our battles while we continue to make peace with all men. Let us henceforth with confidence lead a peaceful, prayerful and praiseful life because God is our battle axe.
