The Reward of Uprightness

*MEDITATION*

Psalm 84:11 "For the Lord God is a Sun and Shield; the Lord bestows [present] grace and favor and [future] glory (honor, splendor, and heavenly bliss)! No good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly."AMP

Point to ponder on: God won't withhold any good thing from a believer who walks uprightly.

We can count on God as our defence anytime any day as a Sun to shine His light on every dark part in our journey so that we don't fall and we can be confident that He will shield us from the attack of the enemy because He is our shield. Our God is not just a Sun but also the Sun of Righteousness with healing in His wings and His beams to deliver the afflicted among us(Mal.4:2). And when it is necessary for Him to scorch our adversaries with heat  so that they can flee from troubling His beloved, He is a Sun.

Moreover, for those who walk uprightly have a lot to benefit without making any request. The Lord rewards them with gift(present) of grace, favour and glory(this glory is a future with honour, splendor and heavenly bliss) ensuring that nothing good is withheld from them. This is mind blowing! There is so much to gain for being upright( always behaving in an honest way : having high moral standards). We can do all things through Christ who strengthens us(Phil.4:13), therefore, uprightness is possible if truly in Him(Christ) we live, move and have our being(Acts 17:28). And since He works in us both to will and to do His good pleasure then when we make up our mind He will enable us. "[Not in your own strength] for it is God Who is all the while effectually at work in you [energizing and creating in you the power and desire], both to will and to work for His good pleasure and satisfaction and delight."-Phil.2:13(AMP)

Consequently, all believers have received grace but there is another dimension of the gift of grace and favour on those who walk uprightly.
Cooperate with the Holy Ghost and see the progress you will make in uprightness.

Activating God's Favour

*MEDITATION*

Psalm 5:12 "For You, Lord, will bless the [uncompromisingly] righteous [him who is upright and in right standing with You]; as with a shield You will surround him with goodwill (pleasure and favor)."AMP

Point to ponder on:  A believer who never compromises automatically qualifies for the blessing of the Lord and His favour as a shield.

There is always a reward for every faithful act in the kingdom. God is keen on our benefits as motivations for obedience. You can be sure that certain acts open heavens upon your life, and one of such acts is being in right standing with God. A person in right standing with God doesn't compromise the Word of God, he or she obeys to the letter even when it's not convenient. This positions such a person as being upright with God, a doer of His Word and not just a hearer.

Beloved, let us always look out for the benefits of obeying God's Word and look off the temporary convenience and instant gratification that disobedience presents. Make those benefits your motivations when your flesh is not cooperating. You can be sure of the blessing of the Lord without asking for it and His favour as your shield. A shield is a weapon of defence in warfare. Can you imagine what happens when your life is surrounded with favour(as a shield)? It simply means that everywhere you turn to favour will always answer to you. I pray the Lord to bestow upon His Church more grace to walk uprightly without compromise to the shepherd of our souls. May His promises of blessing and favour be evident in this season in your life in Jesus name.

No Condition Is Permanent

*MEDITATION*

Ecclesiastes 4:14 "It is possible for a young man like that to succeed and some day become king, even if his parents were poor or even if he was in prison some time." T4T

Point to ponder on: Those who have removed impossibility in their dictionary have God thinking through their minds and are capable of manifesting what men consider impossible.

Whatever state or status you are today is subject to change. A man who was once crippled got restored on a crusade ground and can now walk. A poor man who was struggling to survive now owns his own car. The guy they called empty brain back in the high school is now a successful business man. That your subordinate today might become a leader tomorrow. The single sister people mocked having passed the age of thirty that she couldn't get a suitable partner is now married with children. The brother they tagged jobless is now an employer of labour. The manager that lost his job as a result of downsizing is now the General Manager at a Micro finance bank. The woman that was once called barren now has twins. We shall not always remain on a spot, as long as we desire the greater good. When we believe that with God all things are possible, we can always turn the table. But first, you must see possibilities in your life regardless of your background and present circumstance. Your future can be greater, richer, enjoyable and lovable. You can achieve whatever you desire as long as it is according to God's will for your life if you will trust God of possibility and strive for change. It's never too late, you can turn the table, you can still succeed, you can still go back to school, you can start that business, you can stop that bad habit and you can still make it. Be encouraged, rise to the occasion and cooperate with God to make things happen. It is possible to change that condition. Rise and face it!

While you wait for the promise

*MEDITATION*

Genesis 12: 7a "The Lord appeared to Abram and said, To your offspring I will give this land..."NIV

Point to ponder on: It takes patience and faith to take a delivery of the promise of God.

Abraham was 75 years old when God promised him he would be the father of nations. He was 100 years old when the seed(a child of that covenant ) through which that promise would be fulfilled was born. It was 25 years of waiting. When Sarah tried to help God by giving Hagar to Abraham to produce a child (Ishmael) out of self effort and not by promise, the child became the source(son not of the covenant) through which one of the  problems of mankind today would show up, which is terrorism. After the self effort of Abraham and Sarah, 13 years passed before the covenant child was conceived.

Consequently, whenever we get creative in helping God out we create more problems that we can never imagine because of its future implications. The result of the self effort is evident in our world today. The angel spoke of what Ishmael would be, and his descendants all over the world are manifesting what was in the DNA of their ancestor(Ge.16:12). God knows what He is doing. He is a master planner. He is never too late nor too early. It took 25 years to deliver a covenant child and it pleased Him to develop character in Abraham before bringing His promise to pass . According to Apostle  Peter, "A day is like a thousand years to the Lord and a thousand years like a day to the Lord." We count days while waiting for the Lord's promises but God dwells in eternity without the limitation of time and days. Hence, we must trust Him and understand that before the promise manifests their must be a process which is very important to God as well as the event. God wants to use everything in the process to develop character in us just as He did to Abraham. How long have you been waiting? Have you tried to help God along the way? God will come in His own time ordained for His purpose, so let us wait for the Lord and while we wait, let us trust (have faith in Him) God and be patient. All who received God's promises have two virtues developed in them, which are patience and faith. So while we wait for the fulfillment of His promises, let us exercise patience and faith in the living God-keeping our eyes on His word and praise Him in advance.

You are irrevocably unstoppable if you don't give up. Those who relentlessly pursue their dreams without turning back are unstoppable. Give it all you can and keep the big picture in view- what you want to accomplish, and pursue with determination never quitting in the midst of life challenges. Thomas Edison tried several times before he got his breakthrough of the light bulb. Success is the prize for those who never give up.

Your Jericho is under your control

*MEDITATION*

Joshua 6:2 "The LORD told Joshua, “Look! I have given Jericho over to your control, along with its kings and valiant soldiers." ISV

Point to ponder on: Whatever God has conquered for you he has given it to you but you must activate by taking over.

Before you take over anything in the kingdom it must first be given. And whatsoever the Lord has given, you must take over before it can be yours. When God gives a nation over to His people it simply means it's under their control. It is vital that we understand the way of God. He sees the end from the beginning. He declares the victory of a battle before it begins.  Therefore, when God tells you to go ahead in any endeavour don't allow your thinking or what you see now to limit you because God has gone ahead, just obey and you will see His wonders. After telling Joshua He had given the land to the Israelites, He gave them the prerequisite to take over what He had already given to them. Whatever he has given to you, go for it. Follow God's way and formula to take a delivery of that. The victory of God is total as long as we obey His instruction in total.

I take over every territory God has given to me in Jesus name.

It Will Not Happen

*MEDITATION*

Isaiah 7: 5-7 "Aram, Ephraim and Remaliah's son have plotted your ruin, saying, "Let us invade Judah; let us tear it apart and divide it among ourselves, and make the son of Tabeel king over it." Yet this is what the Sovereign LORD says: 'It will not take place, it will not happen." NIV

Point to ponder on: Never worry about the hidden plot of the wicked, the LORD is working behind the scene, they will not succeed.

Every plot secretly conspired to ruin your destiny will become futile in Jesus name. I know a God who sits in the secret place where the eyes of men can't see but sees the wicked and laughs to mock their wicked plans against your life. If He chooses to uncover their evil plot He makes it known to you and If He decides otherwise He may conceal it, but one thing is sure, because you are precious to Him and He loves you, He will make the plot of the wicked a wasted effort. As the Lord reveals in this passage so will He make known to you every evil plot conspired against your life and your entire household in Jesus name. And as He makes their plot never to take place so every plot of the wicked against your destiny will never take place. Their evil plot will not stand and it will never happen in Jesus name.

*Prayer Point*
Dear Father,  destroy every agent of darkness that has plotted to ruin my destiny. Let every evil plot against my life, family and loved ones neither take place nor happen in Jesus name. Amen.
