What Do I Gain?

MEDITATION

What Do I Gain?

Psalm 128:1-3 "Blessed is every one that fears the LORD; that walks in his ways. For you shall eat the labor of your hands: happy shall you be, and it shall be well with you. Your wife shall be as a fruitful vine by the sides of your house: your children like olive plants round about your table." kjv2k

Point to ponder on: God's blessing is unlimited on those who fear Him.

What do I gain when I fear the LORD? Several benefits uncovered in the Holy Scriptures to encourage us to go beyond lip service and profession without practice. When we know that we stand to benefit a lot in doing something, we are more encouraged to put in our best and plug into the spirit of the fear of the LORD to give us the enabling. You can confidently make supplication based on this covenant promise and surely expect its manifestation when you truly fear the LORD.

1. Your work will yield harvest for you to enjoy. Your labour will count because God is committed to see you do well and not to labour in vain. The law of the universe works for your good.

2. Happiness is guaranteed because the happenstance  around you will be favourable to trigger that mental attitude of happiness no matter what the mundane situation may be.

3. It will be well with you. This makes you enjoy the blessing the LORD releases upon your life. Nothing broken, nothing missing and nothing lacking by His grace.

4. Your marriage partner will be fruitful because of you and imagine when both of you fear the LORD, just look at the bigger picture of that experience. It means she can't be barren as a woman and the man can't be hindered or suffer low sperm count.

5. Your children will be fresh and promising ones as young olive shoots. Wow! What a robust breed of offsprings. I love this!

Beloved, your duty is not to think of how the LORD will make it happen but it is for you to live in the consciousness of this revelation and expect it to happen. "Your expectation shall not be cut-off."(Pro.23:18b) The grace will always work for you if you will walk in it. It is always sufficient for you. Be empowered by the spirit of the fear of the LORD to fear Him in practice.

I celebrate you.

Good morning. Enjoy His mercy and grace.

David, Johnson
