No Favorites!

*MEDITATION*

Acts 10:34-35 "Peter fairly exploded with his good news: "It's God's own truth, nothing could be plainer: God plays no favorites! It makes no difference who you are or where you're from—if you want God and are ready to do as he says, the door is open." MSG

Point to ponder on: God shows no favouritism, anyone who does what is right is acceptable to Him.

Many have argued on this issue of God having favourites. Some have inferred the story of Esau and Jacob as such, but this explains the concept of election, or God's choosing of people for a special assignment which depends not on their wishes or efforts. We cannot conclude that God is unjust in choosing the ones he wants to choose. Romans 9:14-18 (This further explains salvation's concept, Jesus was chosen to suffer for our sins which He did not commit).

However, you can make yourself a delight to God by simply doing what is scripturally right. All you need do is to find out what is pleasing to God and just do it (Ephesians 5:10-And try to learn [in your experience] what is pleasing to the Lord [let your lives be constant proofs of what is most acceptable to Him]{AMP}). It might not be convenient or easy, that is the price of obedience but you can be sure that God will always open His door to you. And when you knock the door of heaven with your request, God responds to you quickly because He is pleased with those who do what please Him ( Isaiah 58:9-Then you shall call, and the Lord will answer; you shall cry, and He will say, Here I am. If you take away from your midst yokes of oppression [wherever you find them], the finger pointed in scorn [toward the oppressed or the godly], and every form of false, harsh, unjust, and wicked speaking).

Consequently, doing the word of God opens doors for you anytime, any day, anywhere, and also closes doors of evil for you so that you are protected from danger( Proverbs 16:7-When a man's ways please the Lord, He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him{AMP}).
Do what is right in line with what pleases God and you will be acceptable to Him.

I celebrate you.

Good morning. Enjoy His peace.
