Stand For The Truth

MEDITATION*

John 18:40 "They answered him with a shout, "No, not him! We want Barabbas!" (Barabbas was a bandit.)" GNB

Point to ponder on: The world may reject you for standing for the truth but you will always have God's acceptance and approval.

Have you been rejected because you stood for the truth and been considered ridiculous? The Jews rejected Jesus and preferred a criminal-Barabbas. You are not alone. A brother who worked in Lagos decided to stand by the truth at His place of work and his colleagues went against him because he refused to support their sharp practices, they plotted his transfer to Abuja and His God who rewards truth and righteousness opened door for him to become an entrepreneur where he made his first million and later quit their job.

This scripture portrays a physical representation of a spiritual dimension of God's concept of exchange, where Christ takes over the sin of mankind. Barabbas representing sinners(you and I released though guilty of sin but Christ took our place) and gives His righteousness to whoever accepts and believes His work on the cross. However, It also reveals the nature of mankind towards truth and falsehood, evil and good. If you will always live a godly life, what happens to you is not what is important but what you choose to become in the face of your trials. Jesus stood for the truth till death and was rejected and we have Him as our role model. The world may not accept your kingdom standard but they will try to bend you to join them. Just remember you belong to the King of kings, the world can only know Him well when you represent Him well anywhere you go by upholding God's standard. It is better to be rejected by the world for standing for the truth and be accepted by God rather than to join them and lose God's acceptance. You will not fall away in Jesus name.

I celebrate you.

Good morning. Enjoy His peace.
