The Secret of Continuous Victory

MEDITATION

The Secret of Continuous Victory

2 Samuel 8: 14 "...The LORD gave David victory wherever  he went." NIV

Point to ponder on: Continuous victory is possible in life only when you access the secret code to daily victory which is only found in God.

“The secret of a man is in his story," says Bishop Oyedepo. Once in a while he reiterates this statement when he speaks about the secret of his success in ministry and other endeavours, “If you don’t know the story of a man, you can’t know his secret.”
He says, “You need to know how my heart pants after God to know my secret. We do nothing in this ministry except as directed by the Lord.”

Beloved, to live a life of continuous victory is achievable. All we need do is to look out for those who have this lifestyle and find out their secrets. David was a king who lived a life of continuous victory. There was no record he lost any battle. His secret was in his story. What was the secret of David's life of continuous victory?
(1)He never did anything without first asking God whether to embark on it or not. He gets God's direction before any action.
(2) He would follow God's instruction to letter.
This was the habit of David "to inquire from the LORD." This great habit preceded David's decision and action, hence he never lost any battle because God fought all his battles. (1Sam.22:10; 1Sam.23:2,4,12; 1Sam.30:8; 2 Sam.2:1; 2 Sam.5:19)

Beloved, if we desire continuous victory and success in our endeavours we must pay the price of putting God first. I am not talking about just informing God and run out to do our things, but informing and involving God to get his permission and follow His lead. Very few people have this habit, others cannot endure the process of inquiry, so they do their things using their limited brains and get the result their brains can handle. I am not suggesting we suspend our brains but it is spiritual to get the Master of the universe to lead our ways if we truly desire a continuous victory and success and not once in a while success. I pray that the grace to seek God patiently and diligently will rest on us afresh in Jesus name. If we desire a continuous victorious and successful life Christ has paid for, let us put God first before we do anything and get His permission before we go ahead to activate this lifestyle.

Good morning. Enjoy His victory.

I celebrate you.

David, Johnson
