God Will Prove Himself
1Kings18:24 "Then you call on the name of your god, and I will call on the name of the LORD. The god who answers by fire--he is God." NIV
Point to ponder on: People and situation can challenge us and raise doubts in our heart whether God is really with us. But be confident that Jesus was in the storm with the disciples. He will intervene.
A man without any history about his parents became a lover of God and well endowed with spiritual power. He lived in a land where almost everyone in that land had a different concept about God. He was in opposition to what they believed and this agitation of their imaginary god led to a contest. His opposition had several priests who worshipped this imaginary god. They all came to challenge him on the day of contest to see who was serving the true and living God. As they all gathered to defend their imaginary god. This spiritual man came also to prove to them that his God is real. The contest began and the only proof to know whose God was true and living is the release of fire to consume the sacrifices individually prepared by the two parties. The oppositions called their god but all to no avail and so this spiritual man having prepared his altar of sacrifice prayed a simple prayer for his God to prove Himself as true and living God. Consequently, fire fell after his simple prayer and his oppositions were put to shame. This spiritual man was Elijah. Just as God put his oppositions who challenged the existence of his God to shame, people and situations challenging the validity of your God will be put to shame in Jesus name. It took the supernatural to release fire on the altar without human intervention of use of matches or any other device in vogue at that time, that same supernatural power will crown your life with miracles to confound your adversaries in Jesus name. Where people are waiting for your shame, they will see you rejoice victoriously as Elijah in Jesus name. The Lord that answered by fire is still our God and He is all consuming fire, He will consume anything on your path that doesn't want to give way for your breakthrough (just make sure you are not the one blocking yourself) in Jesus name.
Good morning. Enjoy a victorious weekend.
I celebrate you.
David, Johnson
