Stand the Heat

MEDITATION

Stand the Heat

Hebrews 6:15 "And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise."kjvlite

Point to ponder on: The period between the promise and the fulfilment is the heat period of waiting, only those who stand the heat will enjoy the promise.

There is no true greatness without the process of endurance. From childhood to adulthood takes a patient endurance both on the parents and the child. Patience involves waiting while endurance entails what to bear during the waiting period. Abraham received a great promise "I will make you into a great nation"Gen.12:2, 17:2 but he had to wait for 25 years to receive the child of the promise. Gen. 21:1-5
Humanly speaking having gone through tough times myself in life and yet trusted God in my period of affliction and waiting, it took God to endure those times and came out of it. The truth is that greatness is in faces and levels. But most people think greatness is just appearing on TV set, becoming very rich or being popular, but it's more than that. Not until we reach the fulfilment of our purpose we can't talk of greatness. Therefore, every delay and roadblocks on our way to fulfilment of purpose or reaching our goals generates heat that sometimes seem unbearable but we must be encouraged that God will not allow what we can't bear to come our way.  "There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it" (1Co 10:13) We can do all things through Christ that strengthens us. Every heat period produces strength in us to stand and handle the promise we await. Don't give up now, go through the heat, your fulfilment is at the corner.

Good morning. Enjoy His grace.

I celebrate you.
