Don't Quit In the Face of Temporary Defeat
Thessalonians 3:13 "Friends, don't slack off in doing your duty." MSG
Point to ponder on: Temporary defeat is a sign success is close by.
You must be strong to carry on with whatever you have burning desire to do. But you must also remember that in this life there are pot holes on the road to destiny.
More than 500 of the most successful men in America have asserted that success came just a step after the point at which defeat had overtaken them. From history, failure is a trickster. Failure tricks people when success is almost within reach. Most of us have fallen for this in life, but we don't have to allow this to happen again especially when we operate with the right mindset about life.
R. U. Darby who later became one of the giants in sales of life Insurance once gave up when faced with temporary defeat when He and his uncle could no longer find the vein of the gold ore from which their first car of ore was mined. They sold the machinery to a junk man who consulted an expert in gold mining and just three feet down they reached the gold ore and 'boom' fortune emerged. The junk man made millions of dollars in ore from the mine because he knew how to seek expert counsel before giving up.
Darby later profited from his experience of a huge loss of fortune because he stopped three feet from gold and always reminded himself by saying, "I stopped when it was three feet from gold, I will never stop when men say 'no' when I ask them to buy insurance."
Can anything really stop you? I don't think so. It's your mind that can stop you, and you must not allow that. As long as the LORD is for you, your mind is the other thing that you must guide with the word to stand against negative thoughts during temporary defeat on your journey. Everybody experiences temporary defeat, but note that, it is not permanent defeat. It is a sign that success is nearer. Therefore, you must remember this scripture: "And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not."(Gal.6:9-kjv2k)
Life is good only if you know how to live it.
Good morning. Enjoy His bliss.
I celebrate you.
