Take A Real Rest
Matthew 11:28 "Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you'll recover your life. I'll show you how to take a real rest." (MSG)
Point to ponder on: Exchange your struggles for a real rest in Jesus.
Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.(kjv2k) Jesus calls out for anyone who desires a change and really needs a breath of fresh air from the burden of religious laws and life challenges. The pressure of life sometimes is so burdensome and gets people worn out. People have tried several rules hoping it will help them get better as suggested by religion but all to no avail. Religion is the opium of the people as defined by Karl Max. For me I see it as a craft the devil uses to confuse mankind. It best describes a medium man created to reach God. Religion doesn't save, but salvation does, and it is only in Christ Jesus. No matter how man follows rules, he gets burdened and will always break the rule because the nature in the natural man is sinful. However, there is good news because a sure way is here and it's in Christ Jesus. He puts an end to daily sacrifice and made Himself the sacrifice for us, so that we can have liberty through Him. If you really want to experience real rest from rules you can never keep without fail and get the burden off your shoulder, then it's time to learn from Jesus. All it takes is to believe in what He did on the cross, trust Him absolutely, and live by His teachings. Real rest starts when we rely on the work of the cross and not in our efforts. Our efforts to tame the flesh will wear us out and we will never enjoy real rest, but to allow Jesus takes the lead and cast all our cares on Him, patiently relying on Him gives us rest.
Will you cast all your cares on Jesus or still want to go all the way struggling? Think about it.
Good morning. Enjoy His grace.
I celebrate you.
David, Johnson
